OUR HISTORY
About our building
One of the oldest buildings located in the heart of Historic Downtown Rosenberg, ​The Vogelsang building was built in 1910 by Jacob Gray.
This building was leased by Louis A. Vogelsang (1874-1961) in 1912 for his general merchandise business. Vogelsang bought the property in 1922, and continued to operate his store at this site until 1947.​ The Vogelsang building has been kept in the family since 1912.

"Daniel Ornelas is proud graduate of the Le Cord En Blue Texas Culinary Academy. His passion for food and love for the culinary arts was cultivated through working with his mother in the kitchen as a child. He prides himself in creating delicious food from the simplest ingredients. Daniel has had the pleasure of working with some of the best establishments in Texas from the Marriott Renaissance, Pecan Grove Country Club, The Hollows Resort, The Houstonian, Buckner Residential and MD Anderson. Chef Daniel brings with him a multitude of experience in purchasing, menu planning, restaurant management, customer service and fine cuisine. He is excited to bring his vision for a casual and delicious eatery to the Historic Vogelsang Building and the residents of Rosenberg, Texas."
